The Santa Maria Golf Course traces the contours of a valley and offers distracting views over the Mediterranean.

Another design by Antonio Garcia Garrido, who made the par 3 6th hole especially challenging. It is located on the highest point of the course, before you need to tackle a formidable tee shot down towards the guarded green some 180 metres away

Santa Maria's layout has recently been transformed to create one of the best and most popular courses on the Costa del Sol. Running through two valleys with great views of the Mediterranean Sea, the course makes the most of its undulating terrain to provide a good test of golf, with well-placed bunkers designed to make you really think about your shots.
We particularly like the 14th, which sets off from an elevated tee past a lake towards a green flanked by a waterfall. Buggies recommended.
