Course Overview

San Andres Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Argentina.
The first course was built near the present location in 1892, where the first official golf match in Argentina was played in 1894.

The club's history is the same as many clubs of those times. Along with the railroad, which brought progress and communication, sports were introduced by British employees who managed the companies.
At first, it was a reference point for the british community that settled in the country. Later, it was the Argentine-born kin of these pioneers that kept the communities' traditions alive.

Today, when a vast majority of the members are Argentine born, many of the traditions of the British antecessors are still observed.

The 18 hole golf course was designed by Scottish Pro Mr. Mungo Park. It is a par 72 for Men and 73 for Ladies, with a maximum 6472 yards length. San Andres Golf Club hosted the Argentine Open 21 times (more than any other club). Roberto De Vicenzo, the 1967 British Open Champion, won here twice, and is presently an honorary member
