This 18-hole, par 54 course, which is a small replica of the best American courses, is considered by experts to be one of the best in the world.
The El Cortijo course provides many obstacles, such as spectacular lakes and sand bunkers, which make a marvellous contrast to the green lushness of the course.
It should be pointed out that this is the only floodlit course in Gran Canaria, allowing golfers to play at night when temperatures are – especially in summer times – more bearable.

Close to the city of Las Palmas, El Cortijo offers a choice of six tees per hole, which in our opinion vastly increases the variety and enjoyment of the course and means it can be comfortably played whatever your ability. It's dotted with lakes and over 600 palm trees, some of which are more than 100 years old. There are also some fabulous views of the ocean.
The dogleg 15th is our favourite hole - the small green slopes back towards the water hazard which guards it, so a really precise approach shot is required.
