A superb layout, which follows the tenets of good golf design. Being a ‘resort’ course, there are places where tees are near resort roads, but in all cases tees are set down or raised up to avoid any interference from passing traffic, which will always be minimal in the playing areas.

Where houses line the fairways, most holes run through dished valleys, with the houses set well back and above the play, a massive amount of tree planting, adds to the safety barriers as well as to the beauty of the course. Greens are especially well located and where greens are near roads they are set in positions surrounded by banks and trees, which will contain wild shots".

This new 18-hole championship golf course stretches along the length of the resort shaping the housing centres, the Hotel & SPA and the other leisure facilities. The proximity of the sea and Óbidos lagoon, not to mention the golf course itself, afford each allotment and the housing lots fantastic views which benefit from the extension and the natural beauty of the surroundings. The golf course, designed by the world-renowned architect Donald Steel is already opened.

It is a PAR 72 golf course with an area exceeding 600 thousand square metres, the first nine holes are played on a level part of the terrain while the second nine are located on uneven terrain, and are therefore quite spectacular. The green surfaces have interesting and challenging undulation without being too difficult. The bunkers are shaped with choppy and gnarled features rather than taking a very smooth appearance.
