An 18 hole course designed by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton. In his own words, the undulating terrain makes each hole a new challenge, from mastering the double-dogleg to softly putting the tiered greens. It is a course for those who like challenge in their game. The open aspects and ruggedness add to the excitement and the Par 5 16th, appropriately named 'The Giant' at 660 yards is the longest in Europe. The natural advantages of the terrain have been used to sculpt a garden-like course with mature pine, carob, almond, fig and olive trees lining the fairways and giving a long-settled feeling. Alto is an excellent test of golf and well worth a visit.
